A great way to break up your reading class into small groups is to utilize literature circles. Students have the chance to take a more independent approach and responsibility for the reading tasks. Each student is assigned his or her own role in the lit circle and rotates each day or week.
Students receive a folder with a copy of each Job sheet, 2 types of self evaluations, the job rotation list and a cover for the front of the folder.
Students complete them after reading and then share and discuss their findings with one another! Great for differentiation and small group work!
