What educators are saying

Perfect resource that I wish I had found at the bringing of the year. Can’t wait to start 6th next year with it.
I have never used Literature Circles before and find this a helpful resource. The lesson plans and student resources helped me plan my units and were easy to understand and implement.

Description

This is the perfect no-prep reading comprehension activity to start in your classroom for either distance learning or in-person instruction. Conduct literature circles or book clubs in your class by creating small groups and assigning students a novel study and roles each week. The group members will prepare their role and present to their groups, which is perfect for developing critical thinking, reading comprehension, book analysis and inferencing strategies for upper-elementary or middle school students. The prompts for each role have been carefully thought out to better suit older students and promote the deeper and more complex thinking we try to get them to do while analyzing a novel.

Once you set this up in your classroom, it will continue to run itself meaning it gives you a break from extensive lesson planning!

Please note: novels are NOT included but I have listed a few suggestions!

*Google Drive compatibility
