Your students will enjoy using these Bloom’s Taxonomy
Literature Response Cards in a variety of ways. These cards are based on the new and revised Bloom’s Taxonomy levels.
I have used them in the following ways:
Use these when conferencing individually with a student or when working wit a Guided Reading group. Children can be given one card of each color (category) or you can choose which category to focus on for that week.
Students can choose which card they would like to use as a written form of literature response to the text they are reading. This is more independent work.
You can choose one of the cards for students to respond to a story you have used for your Shared Reading./Mini-lesson. This can be done in a couple of different ways. If you have a document camera, place the chosen card under it. Or, if you’d like, Xerox the card you’d like the students to use and distribute to each student. Students then glue that Xeroxed card into their Literature Response Journal.
