This bundle of goodies reinforces the skill of character analysis in upper grades while integrating guided reading and letter-writing with fun and challenging activities! These activities will engage your students in higher-order thinking during guided reading groups as they analyze characters, and learn about letters and diary entries, as well as how to write them! This guide will work with any novel!
This genre/literature guide is a full unit, with activities, chart toppers, mini-posters and detailed lesson plans & instructions imbedded within the file. During the literature study, students will use their guided reading book to analyze the characters, and complete mini-projects - write letters, postcards, diary entries, and even text messages from the perspective of the main character! They will put these together on a poster board that can be displayed on your bulletin board!
