This illustrated word wall contains 52 literature terms with definitions and examples. The layout is designed so the pages can be printed on card stock, laminated, and cut in half to be displayed in a pocket chart. This is a great way to keep terms displayed in the classroom and help students make connections between the terms and illustrations and/or examples.
Terms included are: foreshadow, cliffhanger, flashback, oxymoron, irony, hyperbole, climax, allegory, exposition, resolution, plot, rising action, falling action, conflict, mood, moral, point of view, tone, understatement, predictions, cause, effect, infer, protagonist, antagonist, simile, metaphor, compare, contrast, antonym, synonym, author's purpose, context clues, character traits, alliteration, analogies, onomatopoeia, idiom, fact, opinion, homophone, homograph, personification, chronological order, man vs. man conflict, man vs. self conflict, man vs. society conflict, man vs. nature conflict, first person POV, second person POV, third person - limited POV, and third person - omniscient POV.
