Little Boo by Stephen Wunderli is a charming, funny tale that is wonderful addition to units on fall, pumpkins, Halloween, plants, or character education (patience). Little Boo starts out as a seed who is discouraged because he is not scary. The wind gives him wisdom and guidance on his journey into a large orange pumpkin. In the end, his patience pays off and he becomes a scary jack o'lantern.
