You can suppliment the activity by asking children to place the little mouse in different postitions. While using these materials you will also be reinforcing color awareness, left to right movement for reading, following directions, and giving directions as well as strengthening speech and language skills.

Put the little mouse BELOW the green house.
Put the little mouse ABOVE the purple house.
Let’s line up the houses! Put the Yellow house first, then the orange house, and then the pink house last. ***this is also teaching left to right movement which is a pre-reading skill.
