Finding just right readers for all my students that match our theme was not always possible. Our book room just didn't have enough. Do you know the struggle of finding the perfect book but you need 8 or 10 or even 12 copies, only to have a set of 6? I also struggle with not being able to send home our book room books for fear that they would not be returned. I started making readers for my students. These little readers were copied and easy to replace if lost, torn, or never made it back to school.
What you get in this set of readers:
* 3 different titles
* each title comes in 3 different levels of readers
* lower level readers come with tracking dots under the words
* simple easy to understand pictures that match the words
* high use of sight words
The pages are set up two books per page to reduce set up time, and paper used. **I do not run these pages back to back**
Levels used in the set:
Level A- earliest readers, 2-3 words per page, tracking dots under words, DRA level A
Level 1- short simple sentences, up to 5-8 words per page, comes with tracking dots or without tracking dots, DRA level 1 or an easy DRA 2
Level 2- more complex sentences, introduces 2 sentences per page, does not have tracking dots, high picture support,
All readers are black and white. In my small group time, students are sent back to their table to color and practice reading after they meet with me.
