PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This PPT lesson is a great way for your elementary music students (grades 2-3) to practice/review their knowledge of "do" while preparing for the new tone "re." In this PPT lesson, activities include a heartbeat bird icon tapping chart, a rhythm bird icon tapping chart, a rhythm notation/dictation activity, reading the melodic notation from the staff where the mystery tone "re" is kept hidden (with bird icons as note heads), and reading the melodic notation with real rhythm icons as note heads where "re" is finally revealed. A fun practice activity at the end of the lesson is included for students to test their knowledge of where "re" sits on the staff in many places based upon the movable do concept.
