Using the book, The Little Red Fort, students can incorporate STEM and Literacy. In two differentiated manners (draw a picture or write a sentence), students will use Someone Wanted So But Then to summarize the text. They may also incorporate the visualize strategy to draw how they picture the little red fort from the story.
Next, using text cues, students will design, determine materials, and build their own forts. They will complete a drawing of what they designed and write a sentence to describe what they would do in the fort.
