This small group reader's theater for four students. It is a twisted fairy tale. In the script, Little Red Running Shoes loves to help his mother and one day he is asked to go to the store so that he can get supplies for cookies. He runs into a gang member nicknamed Wolfe and things start to happen. Is Wolfe going to outsmart Little Red? I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need.
My scripts are in black and white with the occasional color photo on front and no real cutesy stuff added so they are cheaper and easier to photo copy and do not distract the reader. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place.
My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone. If you enjoy this script, look for other twisted fairy tales at my site. You can even save money by buying them in packs! I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
