INTEGRATE STEM IN YOUR CLASSROOM THIS VALENTINE'S DAY!
Students will love completing this Valentine's Day STEM activity! For this STEM challenge, students are challenged to help Little Red engineer a new and improved basket (basket weaving) to hold 10 flowers. The second part of the challenge has students creating duct tape flowers to place within the basket. The challenges can be done together or as separate activities.
Students will develop critical thinking and engineering skills as they work through the challenge. They will use the engineer design process the brainstorm, plan, create, test and improve! Opportunities for reflection are incorporated into the activity.
