I used this project to get my students to understand what life was like during the French Revolution. Obviously we had to discuss that computers didn't exist nor could people afford them, but they seemed to like the irony of it.
They also have to ensure that I can see the narrative arc of the French Revolution through their posts.
They create a twitter feed from the point of view of a person during the French Revolution. They have to make 30 tweets complete with hashtags. I actually allow them to do it by hand, but they get extra credit for actually creating the page.
Easily adaptable for other historical evens!
