These Alphabet Banner pieces are meant to be used along with Lively Literacy Early Literacy Lessons
The banner pieces should be displayed in the classroom for easy reference. It is recommended to first post the black & white banner, and then add the colored banner pieces as each lesson is completed (both are included). This helps students remember which letters have been covered, allows for a sense of accomplishment as they earn each new colored piece, and often leads to excitement over which character they will be meeting next!
The banner pieces highlight letters that have more than one sound, show vowels in red, and also offer alternative ways to spell sounds (great help when posted in Grades 1 & 2). You’ll find a suggested layout for the banner on Page 3.
