Kinder literacy lessons for the ENTIRE YEAR!
Lively Literacy Early Literacy is an early literacy and phonics program used to teach the letters and phonemes of the English language through stories, actions and songs. The program introduces students to 42 lovable characters. The character lessons are fun and engaging and play to children’s love of animals!
Lively Literacy Early Literacy lessons encourage the activation of students’ prior knowledge and include experiences that reach auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Each lesson has an optional extension or ‘enrichment’ activity. These activities build upon students’ understanding of the stories, promote positive social skills and often open up an opportunity for the integration of character education.
Lively Literacy Early Literacy lessons and activities are meant to follow a 'letter/sound of the week' Kindergarten schedule. They are also great for 'letter/sound of the day' review at the beginning of Grade 1! Lessons are delivered in an order which allows students to begin building words as early as the second lesson! Word-building activities continue with each new sound and it doesn’t take long for Lively Literacy learners to gain confidence in their abilities as readers and writers!
