*This Living Museum biography project focuses on Famous Michiganders
*The students are provided a list of 45 Famous Michiganders--people who have either lived and/or worked in Michigan at some point in their lives
*Students then select their TOP 5 Famous Michiganders on a wish list. The teacher compiles the TOP 5 sheets and then assigns a famous person to each student for research.
*Students use internet resources such as Wikipedia to begin researching their Famous Michiganders
*Students and parents are given a detailed description of the project which includes research, questions for research and note-taking (blacklines included) tips for writing a speech for the Living Musem event, speech blacklines, directions for a costume and a tri-fold dispplay board for the event.
*This project is geared toward Famous Michiganders, but can be used and adapted for any Living Museum project.
*During an evening event, students will act as Living Museum statues as parents and families walk around listening to students tell their life stories as Famous Michiganders.
*Fun project for students and families!
