We create interactive science notebooks every year and they are definitely a work in progress! These are one of the entries in our science notebook when we are studying ecosystems! First, students create the flaps that give the definitions and examples of the terms (we cut and glue pictures from magazines). Students then create the two tri-folds.
On the Types of Ecosystems accordion books, I have students draw or write in both abiotic and biotic parts of each type of ecosystem as a lead up to the Ecosystem Poster project! We then make Ecosystem Posters to hang in the classroom. In these posters, students must show both abiotic and biotic parts of any given ecosystem.
Our science notebooks are composition books, so I reduce each page to 80% when I copy them.
I will be posting more of these interactive science notebook packs as I make them, topic by topic. You will be able to purchase the ones that are appropriate to your students and your curriculum!
