After investigating a variety of living things, students can record their wondering about an animal of interest and what they think they already know about it. After researching to look for the answer, they can record all subsequent learnings to create a poster about their animal. The poster comes as two pages but is to be photocopied on an 8.5/17" paper to create the large poster (or taped together).
A rubric about the whole inquiry process and the ability to communicate on a poster, is provided. If some children are unable to write, they can present orally (or choose another medium) and still be graded as to how well they communicated. The poster can be a used as a Media/Writing Mark, in addition to a science mark,.
