This lesson focuses on animal and plant competition, as well as survival adaptations. It includes: a Smartboard presentation of the text emphasizing basic understanding of competition, niches, adaptation, camouflage, mimicry, and animal defense mechanisms. Terminology is included, as well as two SmartBoard activities (An adaptations page with bird bill adaptations and a page emphasizing camouflage, mimicry, and defense.) The activities are also included in PDF files so they can be printed and issued as desk or homework assignments.
