This project was created as a “Science Reader” for students: to explore living things in the context of local environments, varied habitats and in an Aboriginal context. Physical features and adaptations of plants and animals are explored as seen across Canada. A bonus section of graphic organizers has been included at the end to support the learning of Scientific vs Aboriginal classification of living things. This project supports grade 1 or grade 1/2 learning and is 75 pages in length.
