A living/nonliving unit for young children. I used it for a mixed class of 3-5 year-old ESL students, so there are different options for how (in-depth) you want to teach it. I didn’t use “move on its own” but I included some information in the Power point for the ones who may want it. The Power point presentation is editable of course, so you can take out anything you will not use, and add any extras.
This unit includes:
20 page PowerPoint presentation
Characteristics of living things diagrams (2 to choose from)
Living/nonliving check-off sheet with tracing and writing (can be used to make a small book)
Find the living/nonliving things
Sort the living and nonliving things
Circle the one that is different living/nonliving
Living/nonliving patterns (open for teacher direction)
Play dough sorting mats (color and B&W)
