In this project, students will decide which career they want to have during a 6-weeks. You can change the length of this project. During their journey, they will have pay days, scheduled bills to pay, negative unknown factors such as having to pay a speeding ticket or the AC unit needs to be placed, and positive unknown factors such as receiving compensation for jury duty or a tax refund.
This purchase includes the following items:
-Calendar of bill due dates and possible days for drawing an unknown scenario
-Parent acknowledgement form
-Introduction letter of project that explains purpose
-Student working document to help them fill in blanks to questions and gives them amounts of necessity items and luxury items if they so wish to purchase them
-2 pages of 'unknown' scenarios-easy to cut out. fold up and put in to a can or jar to allow students to pick from
-Rubric for grading
This is designed to be an at-home project with reminders in the classroom. The purpose is to allow students to understand the responsibilities of real life and the importance of education so they can make the proper amount of money for their needs to life and any desired wants.
