Included are engaging activities for Math and Word Work to use as a print and go for St. Patrick's Day. These activities can be used for Morning Work, Whole Group, or in stations.
Making Words: (L.K.2; RF.1.3) Students will cut out and create new words from the letters in “Leprechaun”. Students will hunt for words and color them inside the box.
Sight Word Color: (RF.K.2, RF.K.3; RF.1.2) Students will read high-frequency sight words, color the words, and finally read a sentence at the end with the sight words.
Sight Word Sentences: (RF.K.2, RF.K.3; RF.1.2) Students will read high-frequency sight words in sentences. They will cut out the words, rearrange, and build the sentence. Next students write the sentence, and finally they color the pictures.
Skip Counting: (K.CC.A.1) Students will skip count by 10s to 100. As a challenge students can skip count to 50 by 5s, and 20 by 2s. They will cut and paste the missing numbers onto the correct cupcake. Finally, they will color the pictures.
Addition Problems (K.OA.1, 1.OA.1) Students will roll two dice, count the dots, and color the total.
