Super fun way to engage students in practice and review the basic rules of logarithms. Each problems is in the form of an equation but are based upon the identities and students will not need a calculator.
Students of all ages still love playing dots and boxes or as it is known now as Box Wars.
This is the game where two or more kids take turns drawing lines to close or capture a box. In this version, each box has a logarithmic expression in it. When a player captures the box, he/she must find the value of x. They record that value on their recording sheet, and when all the boxed are captured, the players add their points to see who wins.
Lots of strategies built in, as some values are negative, and zero, and there are fractions. No calculators are needed. Great practice and lots of fun! Answer key included.
