What educators are saying

I love this puzzle! I love that it was something different and was visually appealing to my Algebra 2 students. A great way for them to be able to self-check their work also! :)
Great activity to review! I used it as a warm up. The students were excited to come in and have something different to get started with.

Students will practice solving logarithmic equations with this Pyramid Sum Puzzle activity. Some questions may result in a quadratic equations. Extraneous solutions are possible.

Simply give each student the template and set of problems. They solve each equation, cut out the boxes, then paste them onto the template so that each solution is the sum of the two solutions directly above it. See the preview for more detailed directions and photos. Actual answers not shown in the cover photo above!

This activity was created for an Algebra 2 level class and works very well in conjunction with my Algebra 2 Exponential & Logarithmic Equations Unit.
