Matrix Grid Logic Puzzle for Earth Day. Students use deductive reasoning and process of elimination to deduce which 5 kids did which 5 things to help save the earth. Each kid in the puzzle did one thing to help save the earth. Includes color copy and also Black and White Copy. Answer Key is given in grid form and also by list.
The puzzle can be completed collaboratively or individually. Great for Math Centers or Early Finishers.
The students carefully read clues and eliminate what they know is not true. For example when it says someone's neighbor did something you know they did not do that thing, because the neighbor did so you can eliminate that possibility by putting an X in that box. Eventually everything is x'd out except for one possibility and now the students have the answer. This process continues until the puzzle is solved.
