In this fun logic puzzle, which will take older elementary students about 15 minutes, students use pictures and clues to make deductions that lead to the one and only solution to the question, "Which dog did each child adopt?" I made it as part of my dogs themed reading, writing, and language lessons (that can be spread throughout the year).
The puzzle can be used as a warm-up or free-time activity. It does involve critical thinking and logic skills so it is not a waste of time.
Write this solution down. (I could not manage to attach it to my pdf file, so I apologize.)
Laurel - Golden Retriever
Molly - American Eskimo
Autumn - Poodle
Brinton - Swiss Mtn Dog
