This is an adorable, memorable way to explain friendship to children. I love using this resource to create a visual for explaining that there are different levels of friendship, especially as far as trust and expectations go among closest friends, good friends, and acquaintances.
In this 20-page PDF download, you will receive a cover and instructions page, the Lollipop Friendship Model with handout, 5 "Pop Questions" for discussion, a colorful "Friendships that Stick" slide with more discussion prompts, 2 additional "sweet friendship" activities pages, and a credits page.
This model and corresponding friendship activities are ideal for:
- classroom guidance lessons
- individual counseling sessions
- small group counseling on friendship and social skills
. They can be copied for your own use as an activity packet, or projected on a screen for a group discussion. Slides #11, 18, and 19 are meant to be printed as handouts for students to write on.
“Friendships that Stick” (slide 3) can be used as discussion prompts at the beginning or end of the class/unit/session.
