Product Description
Are you looking for something a little more exciting and colorful to add to your long division unit? Take a look at this craftivity! It focuses on the traditional division algorithm (long division), and ties in the well-known acronym "Does McDonald's Serve Burgers?"

Students begin by completing two worksheets that contain four division story problems. (Three of the problems contain 2-digit dividends, and one problem contains a 3-digit dividend.) Students must show their long division work in the boxes below each story.

When their answers are correct, they will assemble the craftivity. They will glue their work to the construction paper, and then glue the matching image from the story problem over their work, creating a flap that can be opened to reveal the answer. The story problems are glued beneath the images. (Complete student-friendly directions are included.)

I created this craftivity as a follow-up activity to my "Introduction to Long Division PowerPoint. Click on the following link if you want to check it out: An Introduction to Long Division PowerPoint (using the traditional algorithm)
