This resource focuses on long division fluency and word problems. It is set up as a trashketball game to increase engagement and it is played in teams.

The game includes 10 slides, some of which have multiple problems. Skills included are division with one digit divisors, problem solving, division strategies, area model.

Why this game?

Trashketball is a game that can be used to review any skill. Students play in teams, answer a question presented by the teacher, and collect points for correct answers. If answer is correct a member of the team gets to shoot a ball or crumpled up paper into a trash can to collect bonus points.
