This is a Power Point presentation on long division. It introduces key words for division, steps for division and essential questions for your students to answer while completing this objective.
This would be great to be used if a substitute is in the room. As long as they know how to turn on the computer and run a power point, they could do this lesson. I have put on computers and let students that have been absent go through the presentation on their own - you could send home to parents for them to do extra work on this topic with their child as well.
Each problem has a four digit dividend, one digit divisor and a remainder. Each slide shows the step by step procedures for long division. Each slide advances to the next step by the touch of the screen or click of your mouse. I have labeled each slide with what your students should be "thinking" before each step.
The presentation has the "I Do", "We Do", and the "You Do" slides. I have also attached a page for you to give to your students to work along with you as you get to the "We Do" and "You Do" part of the presentation. A homework page is accompanying the presentation too.
