I just went out on maternity leave this last year and it took me SO long to write my sub plans! I was thinking that something like this would have helped me. It was my first time writing plans for a long term substitute and I wasn't quite sure where to start. I know that my plans will obviously be different than yours as we probably use different curriculums and plan our day differently, but hopefully my guide will give you some ideas about what to do for your substitute!
This download is a word document so you can easily use any piece of it that you like in your own substitute plans.
You will get my:
Guide for a normal school day/Daily schedule (general)
Report Card Comments: How to
Reading and Writing Report Card Grades
Classroom Photo Examples
Note home with substitute contact information
Along with these documents I also left for my sub specific pre printed activities and lessons, my previous years' lesson plans, and pre printed assessments with keys and a guide for grading them for the report card. These are the actual documents that I left for my substitute. I hope these plans will help you in writing your own (and that it takes you less time than it did for me!)
