This file contains three different picture sort sheets and a blank sorting page. Students cut out the pictures and glue them in to a column based on the long vowel sound they hear in the word. It also contains five different pages of long vowel spelling with sound boxes. Students name the pictures and write each sound they hear in the boxes to spell the word (remembering that some sounds may have more than one letter and will have to share a box).
BONUS: This file also includes five different picture sorts (one for each vowel) and five blank vowel sorting pages. Students cut out the pictures and glue them in to a column based on the short or long vowel sound they hear in the word. These Activities promote phonics and phonemic awareness and make great literacy center activities for primary grades.
