In this activity students put together long vowel doggie word families. On the center of the dog house is the long vowel word family and on each dog is a word that fits into the family. This is a great springtime/summer literacy center activity. Print on card stock and laminate for durability. This activity comes with a blank doggie so the you can add a word to one of the families if you know your students are having trouble with that word or that you are working on in case it is not listed. This activity also comes with a worksheet where students write and sort words and then choose a word from each family to write in a sentence! Great for first and second grade.
