This pack of long vowels practice pages is great for your kindergarteners who are just learning to decode/write with long vowel sounds at the latter part of the school year and for first graders who are becomming more fluent with long vowels in first grade. This pack has two sets of practice pages.
Kindergarten Common Core Standard RF.K.3b
The first set is word families writing. The learner is given the word family (rime) and a letter bank (onset). He/she takes aletter from the word bank and writes it with the word family (rime) to create a word. After completing the word list, they should read the words to an adult. At the bottom of the page, there are directions to choose a word to write in a sentence and illustrate.
Word families included:
-eat, -ape, -oat, -ake, -ee, -ail, -ay, -ive, -ite and --ate
The second set has various words in which the long vowel is spelled the same way. The words are now in the word bank and after reading the words, the learner chooses the moatching picture to write the long vowel word next to, to "label" it.

long e spelled ee
long a spelley ay
