This product contains long and short vowels (including "y") that are superimposed on the image representing the sound. This is an excellent resource especially for visual and right brain learners. These learners remember the letters and picture as one unit rather than as separate image and letters. The key word is written under the graphic with the vowel in red.
The chart can be an individual student resource or put in a center. The chart can also be blown up into poster size by a printing service. During word work time, the chart can be read together. The flashcards can be cut apart to build a vowel wall. By placing the flashcards up higher, you are helping a right brain learner get the image to stick. The flashcards can be used individually or in small groups when teaching those specific clusters.
There are six desk strips on one piece of paper and follow the same design as the flashcards. However, they are smaller and designed to be cut and attached to the student's workspace.
Included in the pack are:
• 12 small wall cards or flashcards (color)
• One chart with all 12 vowel sounds (color)
• Desk strips with all 12 vowel sounds (color)
