In these stations, students work on long and short "i" words with CVC, CCVC/CVCC, CVCe, -y, -ie, and -igh spelling patterns.
1) "Scoot" - Students read words and record whether they have the long "i" sound or short "i" sound. (Also great for a station or Small Group activity!)
2) ABC Order
3) Word Sort - Students sort words based on their long and short "i" sound.
4) Picture Sorts - Students sort words based on their long and short "i" sound.
5) Board Game - Students play with a partner and practice reading long and short "i" words.
