This is a really fun way for students to practice the long o sounds in words. There is a game board and 24 card pieces. Students will roll the dice. Then, they will read the ow or oa word on their card. If they read the word correctly they get to stay on that space, if they read the word incorrectly they have to move back one space. Using primary lined paper, I have the students write down the words that they read and then put the words into sentences. In my classroom, this game is usually used as a center activity.
