12 long or short vowel picture cards.

Long or Short Vowel Scoot:
Set cards up at around the classroom. Assign students a place to start and they will start with the card at that spot. They will read the card, and record their answer on the recording sheet in the appropriate box.
After a given amount of time (dependent on your students), the teacher will call, “Scoot” (or switch or move) and students will rotate to the next card. Students rotate through each card, until they’ve answered all questions.
Long or Short Vowel Taskcards:
These can be used in a center instead of as Scoot, or can always be used as review once the Scoot Activity has been completed.
--Students can complete each card in a center.
