This worksheet is a fun way to assess your students ability to locate countries using longitude and latitude skills.
Students use a map to find the coordinates for 10 different countries. One they have all 10 and write them in the blanks provided, the highlighted letters spell the answer to the joke.
Joke: What did Delaware?
Answer: A New Jersey.
Countries coordinates listed: China, Namibia, Egypt, Sweden, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Russia, New Zealand, Yemen
Tip: I use dry erase classroom maps and my students draw the lines with their dry erase marker. (You do not have to do this.)
*** THERE IS NO MAP INCLUDED. MY STUDENTS USE CLASSROOM MAPS I HAVE. YOU COULD PRINT A MAP FROM ONLINE OR OFTEN YOU CAN FIND A MAP IN STUDENTS SOCIAL STUDIES TEXT BOOK OR THEIR SCHOOL PLANNERS.***
