Want a maths activity with a difference! This resource combines finding the bigger number and counting on practice with energetic exercise to provide an effective way to revise addition facts.
I hold up an addition fact card. My kids look for the bigger number in the sum. e.g. 4+ 16 = ___ They say the bigger number ’16’ as they tap their chest with one hand. Then they count on with their other hand ’17 18 19 20’. I then hold up one of the exercise cards e.g. Jumping Jacks and they do 20 of those and put hands on their heads when they finish.
This resource contains: - 7 exercise cards
- 40 addition fact flashcards
PLEASE NOTE: The addition flashcards come in two sets, one with a colored background and the other with a white background to help with printing costs.
Please let me know if you would like any changes made.
