This emergent reader little book will help young students practice early reading skills, while reading about a fun subject: Jelly Beans, just in time for Easter!! It would be great to use for browsing boxes, independent reading, guided reading groups, or Read to Self.
On each page, the Easter bunny has a different number of jelly beans; the jelly beans on each page are also a different color. This allows students to practice reading both color words and number words!!
The text throughout the book follows this pattern:
Look at my jelly beans.
I have (number word) (color word) jelly beans.
The color word on each page is in bold text to help students identify the color word. There is also a chart with the color words in the appropriate color; this can be printed in color and used as a resource for students who need a little extra support.
The following color words are included in this book: red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange, black, white, brown, and pink.
The number words from one to ten are also included in this book.
This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
