Product Description
This lesson revisits Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I've Been to the Moutaintop" speech and asks students to consider whether the election of our first African American president, Barack Obama is the fulfillment of MLK's dream. To explore this question further, students analyze media reactions to Obama's election. Finally, they imagine that they are in charge of their local newspaper's coverpage on the day after the election and decide what words and images they would have chosen to focus on.
