I have finally created a comprehensive assessment for the Grade 2 Social Studies Unit, Looking at Places. This unit tests focuses on the land, climate, and bodies of water in the three different communities, Iqaluit, Sasktoon, and Meteghan.
•Please note that the information in this test was gathered from Pearson Education’s Many Voices textbook. If you currently use another resource at your school you can still use this assessment with your students, but you may want to review all the concepts covered in this unit test before administering the test in your class.
• This Looking at Places unit test is directly aligned with Alberta’s Grade 2 Social Studies program of studies.
• It is strongly recommended that this assessment be teacher-guided. There is a fair amount of reading and lower learners may need support completing the questions.
• The unit test is marked out of a total of 30 marks. It consists of:
o 10 Multiple choice (1 mark each)
o 6 True or False (1 mark each)
o 6 Matching (1 mark each)
o 6 Fill-in-the-blanks (1 mark each)
o 1 Short Answer (2 marks)
• I have included an optional activity for early finishers. ☺
• Answer Key provided
I really value feedback so please let me know what you think about this product if you have time. Thanks! :)
