Let your students choose between three engaging projects. All projects require using text evidence!
Lord of the Flies is such a fantastic piece of literature. Teaching about imagery, characterization, symbolism, and allegory just comes naturally with this book. However, the chapters are quite long and each one is challenging. By the time we get to Chapter 4--when the signal fire goes out because the boys are too busy hunting and the ship passes by-- we are usually ready for a short break from reading.
This product gives detailed instructions for three project choices: an illustrated quote, a casting list slideshow, or a creative representation of a symbol. Also included are examples of each project, information about the symbolism in the book, and examples of proper citation of a quote.
