This exam includes 20 multiple choice questions with passages that correspond. Literary terms such as diction, connotation, denotation, theme, syntax, symbol, irony, foreshadowing, tone, and inference are used. Students are asked to select the best textual evidence to support answers.
This exam also includes two short answer questions that require the student to analyze artifacts and provide evidence to support conclusions.
A modified version is included which has the questions with only three answer choices and the font size has been increased.
Answer sheet is also included.
NOTE: This is a challenging test. In the past, I have given students the opportunity to go back and redo questions they missed for half credit.
