When some of my students doubted that adults would act the same way as the children did, I used this activity. We spent a class period examining an online slideshow detailing the Stanford Prison Experiment (www.prisonexp.org). I had the students fill out this graphic organizer to help them sort through the complex website.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MARGINS SHOULD BE ADJUSTED TO 1"--Teachers Pay Teachers changes document formatting.
Sometimes I have also selected key slides for everyone to view, and then allowed them to do other exploration on their own.
To prep the students for the activity, I have used a survey. See my item "Lord of the Flies Discussion Prompt--Are People Evil?"
