Includes two versions of a scaffolded reading in Spanish about the history of "Los cascarones," confetti-filled eggs often seen in Mexico and the southern USA around Easter.
The first version includes only the reading. The second version defines all of the past-tense verbs used in the reading.
Also included are two versions of a glossary of terms--one that has the past tense verbs bolded.
Suggested usage: Reading Passage with Glossary for Early Novices, Passage with past-tense verbs defined for Mid to Advanced Novices, Passage without scaffolded glossary or verbs for Intermediates.
Fifteen true/false questions in English with the option to have students correct the false statements (answer key included for both versions).
Three extended response questions in Spanish ask students ¿Te gustaría? questions.
Three different patterned Easter Eggs where students can summarize what they learned in English or Spanish and then color their eggs for display in the classroom.
