In this activity students practice their colors in Spanish as well as their understanding of the gender of nouns. I usually use this with 6th graders, but it could be fun for a variety of age groups.
Students are asked to color each color word with the correct color, then use a dictionary to find a Spanish noun that is each color. Students write the noun that they found and draw a picture of the word. Next, they must decide if each noun is masculine or feminine and write EL or LA in front their new noun. Finally, students are asked to rewrite the color word so that it matches the new noun.
