After teaching students the rooms in a house and the chores, this logic problem is a great review activity for their reading skills.
There is a set up scenario that 5 students are talking about the chores they have to do, and in which rooms they do the chores. The object of this problem is to determine who has which chore to do and in what room they do that chore. The students are given 6 different clues that help them figure out which person does the chores and where the chores are performed. As the students figure out which person does NOT do the chore, they put an X in the chore or room that they are NOT in. Only one person does each chore, and each chore is only performed in one location.
Each of the clues uses the Spanish verb expression "tener que (infinitive)" so it is also possible to review tener que (infinitive) with this worksheet as well.
The chores mentioned are: lavar los platos, pasear al perro, planchar, arreglar el cuarto, aspirar
The rooms mentioned are: el dormitorio, afuera de la casa, el lavadero, la cocina, la sala,
It will work with the textbook Realidades - Chapter 6
Answer key is included, along with detailed explanations of reasoning.
